It’s been over 30 years  since Alex Paterson lit the multi-coloured touch paper on The Orb’s interstellar space odyssey, he continues to swerve, becoming his own tribute act by never standing still and preparing a cluster of fresh new projects.

2023 saw  the release of  Prism, the eighteenth Orb studio album that diving  in to number 15 in the UK album charts – followed by extensive tours of the UK, Europe and the USA. Then, in September 2023, The Orb returned with another collaboration album with Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour. 2024 is looking equally exciting with the next release being announced in December!

A multifaceted, contemporary violinist, vocalist and composer, Violeta Vicci feels comfortable genre-crossing from classical to ambient, multilayered electronics, her influences ranging from Bach to Brian Eno. Violeta is fluent in seven languages, and feels at home in England, Switzerland and Spain. Since starting the violin at the age of four and giving her concert debut at the age of fifteen, she fulfilled her long life dream to study at the Royal Academy of Music. Violeta has r collaborated with the likes of The Smile, Thom Yorke, Elbow, Sigur Ros, Steeleye Span and Bat For Lashes. She also arranges the strings for Fontaines DC and writes and performs with psychedelic rock band Ttrruuces.
