The Big Exeter Feast: Haybox and Wonderbag Workshop

As part of Exeter Connect’s The Big Exeter Feast, Jules Bristow of Tangled Bank Foraging and Nature Connection, will lead this drop-in session showing you how to cook cheap and nutritious foods like pulses using less energy. This is done by bringing food up to temperature and then packing it in insulation so that it can continue cooking in Its own retained heat.

It is possible to buy ready-made insulation cookers like the Wonderbag, but also simple to make your own using a variety of inexpensive materials. A variety of different ways of making an insulation cooker will be demonstrated.
