Performance works relating to the exhibition from Clare Thornton, Bryony Gillard and Mark Leahy.
A social sculpture comprising a set of 6 playable croquet pieces inspired by the costume designs of Bauhaus Theatre Master Oskar Schlemmer for the Triadic Ballet (1922). Players are invited to design their own short course and play to their own set of rules on our specially created indoor croquet lawn.
A performance with voice, projection, shadow and movement: bringing together intertextuality (the shaping of a text’s meaning by another text) and states of constant revision.
‘Exploring the contact between text, bodies, stones and movement, this brings together a number of splinters of research and experimentation. Some are borrowed from others, perhaps it is all borrowed. Parts will touch and move and rub, there is no complete gathering up, only some edges or pieces connecting or meeting momentarily.’
The performance his voice 2 presents a live voicing of the results of orchestrated twitter searches. Using a digital interface Leahy gathers and performs a series of tweets, the outcome of careful editing disrupted by chance procedures.
