Let’s stop restricting our imaginations and our expressions, let’s fully assume ideas and creativity by expressing them through improv!

Studio Improv L1 is a fun and friendly improvised acting workshop suitable for everyone no matter your level of experience. You will learn improvisation techniques in order to let off steam and have fun whilst developing performance skills. You will learn to stimulate your imagination with a range of topics including learning to say “Yes and, useful clowning techniques for everyday purposes, comedic short-form games, the creation of new and fun characters, learning the value of working with your scene partners, and much more…

This workshop is perfect if you want to explore and pursue improv further, or if you just want to take a chance on learning something different and having a lot of fun!

Not only will these workshops give you the building blocks for this wonderful growing artform, but many people have found the skills we work on in each session (like public speaking, listening, teamwork, social skills, etc) really help out there in the big wide world!

Complete beginners are welcome. You don’t need any drama, acting, comedy or impro experience whatsoever. You don’t have to be clever, fast or funny either!

Studio Improv L1 sessions are led by CCSW’s team of performance teachers which include James Cotter, Josephine Larsen, Cathy Towers and Geoff Monk.
