Say Something: Using Text in Your Artwork

In this course you will learn how to incorporate hand drawn type into your visual language in an expressive and meaningful way. These workshops will explore ways of using text in your artwork in a way that creates impact and meaning. We will be looking at how to write for visual media rather than writing for an essay and how to make it impactful and meaningful as well as avoiding live laugh love-isms!

During the sessions you will be encouraged to think about what you want to say, what themes and ideas are important to you and what stories do you want to tell.

Each week you will work through a series of exercises using a variety of materials and processes and look at the work of artists along the way.

COURSE TUTOR: LOU HOLLAND
