Satter creates a tense thriller using dialogue taken directly from the FBI’s transcript of the interrogation – alternately nail-biting and banal, darkly funny and surreal.

Director Tina Satter presents an enlightening snapshot of recent US history that derives all of its tension from the gravity of the situation and uses the orginal interview transcript word-for word. The strong imagery and subtle direction of the actors in this drama delivers an unobstructed view of the events of that day – placing it as a piece of verbatim cinema – before the case polarised the press, the general public and politics places it on the cusp of documentary.
