Mud Photography: Family Workshop

Suitable for adults and children who are supervised. Using light sensitive darkroom paper with a developer made using ash and used coffee grounds, participants will be shown how to make the ‘mud’. We will then explore how this changes the paper by throwing the mud at it and applying it to foliage and making relief prints.

This workshop will take place outside but undercover. Gloves and disposable aprons are provided but Mud Photography gets messy so please wear suitable clothing.

Sessions:

Sat 12 April

Session 1: 11am – 12.30pm

Session 2: 1.30pm – 3pm

COURSE TUTOR: SOPHIE SHERWOOD

Sophie is a Bristol based Visual Artist who grew up on the coast of Dorset. Their work has a wide range of subject matter but almost always harks back to their family and home. The work they create involves using light sensitive materials and traditional photography based techniques, which are done inside and outside the Darkroom. They graduated from Plymouth University in 2012 and they have an MA in Photography from UWE.
