Devon-based artist Laura Robertson adds a new iteration of her print series Stella’s Ground Clouds to the evolving artists’ paste-up space at Exeter Phoenix.

In this series Robertson photographs paper pulp sculptures in the studio and collages them over a deep blue background. Titled to incorporate the ground, the clouds and the interstellar, Stella’s Ground Clouds floats between these horizons like a watery galaxy.

Examining what it means to be a body in an unstable world and how this might be responded to through alternate cosmologies, Laura Robertson uses installation, sculpture and events as a means of embracing the incomprehensible and staging alternatives outside popular paradigms.
