KS2 Teacher Twilight Sessions

An exciting free programme of CPD for Primary and Secondary Teachers set up by Exeter Phoenix with support from Into Film and MovIES which will also provide extra support and a platform for you to show your school-made films to a wider audience.

• Using film to enhance literacy – Thu 5 Mar – 6 – 8pm
  The aim of this twilight will be to look at how film can be used to support and enhance speaking and listening, writing, comprehension, and engage those whose attainment levels need supporting and developing. Led by Claire Gunningham.
• Using film in MFL teaching – Mon 9 Mar – 5 – 7pm
  This session provides support for teachers who are taking on MFL teaching at KS2. it will enable teachers to develop new ideas for their MFL teaching. Teachers will explore creative approaches in how the use of film can enhance the teaching of MFL. There will be a focus on listening and speaking, vocabulary, grammar as well as looking at how the words in a French story are translated into a short film.
