An exploration of the use of collage through dive into the work of pioneering artists and experimental approaches to creating your own
series of collages.
Over the 5 weeks we will look at the work of artists such as Hannah Höch and Dora Maar and Kurt Schwitters.
During the final week of the course we will be creating a display of the work produced, sharing experiences and producing constructive reviews of each other’s work.
Basic materials will be provided, but It will be useful for you to bring along a sketch book to make notes and to record ideas and materials you may want to.

Artist and educator Ludmila Centurión grew up in Asunción, Paraguay where she studied and worked before moving to the UK to complete a MA in Creative Arts in Education at The University of Exeter. After graduating in 2021, she has chosen to stay in England to continue exploring the arts, arts education, creativity and this country’s diverse cultures. She has over 10 years of teaching art to a broad range of students, from children to adults. Her studies and workshops draw on the ideas of British philosopher and art historian, Sir Herbert Read and her own cultural heritage.
