Natural Fabric Dyeing

Two week course

Learn how to dye fabric with a range of natural dyes over this two-week course with Laurel from Arrietty.

• Week 1: dying with plants and spices
• Week 2: dying with natural indigo

All materials are provided – but bring your own un-dyed textile item or piece of clothing and, if there’s time, you can also dye this in the dye vats.

Course Tutor: Laurel Coxon

Laurel Coxon is a screenprint and textiles lecturer and co-founder of Arrietty and she has many years of experience teaching craft techniques and sewing skills. Laurel also makes and sells her own work in shops, markets and online platforms as well as contemporary craft fairs.
