Exeter Phoenix is delighted to offer this new animation workshop, suitable for those aged 5 – 11 years. For this two hour session children will be able to create their wildest ideas by bringing together different parts of different characters to make their own new creation as a cut-out animate-able puppet.

Similar to body flipbooks, the children will be provided with basic templates of different parts of the body (head, torso & legs) on to which they can design and colour their own different monsters or characters. This can then be mixed up to create something completely new! Afterwards the puppet can be animated and filmed to do simple motions or movements.

Children will be able to take their designs home with them at the end of the session. Parents/guardians are welcome to stay for the workshop and join in the fun!
