Everytime a bell rings an angel gets it’s wings.
The old ones are the best and no Christmas is complete without a visit from an angel, or in this case an angel in training. Angel Clarence is sent down from heaven to help desperate George Bailey as he battles to grasp what is important in life. As Clarence shows George what the world would be like if he had never been born George learns how loved and valued he is by all who surround him.
From giant Christmas puddings to the bright lights of a village fete, Compass Presents have chosen a selection of wonderful archive films to celebrate the festive season. We invite audiences to spot their local area in snowy scenes from across the South West, to marvel at the queue for the first day of the Dingle January sales, and delight in the dazzling array of costumes and floats at Bridgwater carnival.
This project was created in partnership with The Box Plymouth and supported by the BFI Film Audience Network (FAN) the short films have been carefully curated, spliced and diced by archive aficionados Compass Presents.
