Cyanotypes and Notebooks

This one day hands-on cyanotype workshop will introduce you to how to make your own cyanotypes and turn them into individual notebooks. Cyanotype is one of the earliest forms of photographic processes, distinctive for its Prussian blue prints.

You will have the opportunity to experiment making a series of characteristically blue prints to take away, as well as learning the basics of Japanese stab binding to turn your prints into beautiful and practical notebooks.

This workshop is suitable for all levels of ability and no previous experience is needed. All materials provided.

Course Tutor: Jessica Lennan, MA Photography & the Book / PGCE Photography

Jessica is a Photographer, Lecturer and Co-founder of Dodo Photo, based in Exeter. She currently teaches Photography at Plymouth University, Exeter College and Bath Spa University. Her own practice is based on documentary photography and making artist books.
