The Pegasus Trio

The Pegasus Trio is a new ensemble formed by three professional musicians living in the Exeter region. Trained at top European conservatoires, the trio share extensive performing experience. The combination of voice, piano and violin gives a unique opportunity to explore and arrange a wealth of repertoire, whilst the sounds of voice and violin complement each other beautifully.

The trio’s first series of recitals will include music for violin and piano, operatic arias, folk songs and some wonderful pieces for violin, voice and piano. The programme will feature the aria Erbame Dich Mein Gott from the Bach B Minor Mass, and the wonderfully passionate Violons Dans le Soir by Camille Saint-Saëns.

The concert programme includes:

• Purcell Sonata in G Minor for violin and piano
• Handel Verdi Prati
• Vivaldi  Di faci armate    
• Rameau A selection from the Suite in E Minor for Piano
• Kreisler Praeludium and Allegro
• Bach Erbame Dich Mein Gott
• Saint Saëns Violons Dans le Soir

This concert will be performed at St Stephen’s Church, High Street, Exeter.
