With SimplyWishes at Maker Mart, Exeter

Learn how to make your own fabric Christmas crackers that you can reuse year after year, all while enjoying a cocktail from The Mermaid. On this workshop you can take your pick from the selection of fabrics* and trimmings to make your own reusable cracker. Trimmings include, glitter ribbon, ric rac, velvet ribbon, velvet ric rac and pom pom trim of many different colours! You’re also welcome to embroider names onto the cracker too however this works best with plain fabrics (of which I only have a few colours in stock) as shown in the photos.

*If there is a particular fabric you would like from the example photos please let us know when booking so we can set it aside for you. £30 per person for a 2 hr workshop & Cocktail from The Mermaid. You will be stitching on your own trimmings by hand and then Alice the tutor will stitch your fabric to the lining fabric to finish them off on the machine (sewing machines and cocktails don’t mix!) this is simply for speed (and there will only be one sewing machine) so that you can take home with you a finished cracker!

You will leave with full instructions to remind you how to make more at home if you wish!
