The day after the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, the Taliban immediately move to occupy the Hollywood Gate complex, claimed to be a former CIA base in Kabul. The Taliban find billions of dollars worth of advanced military hardware left behind: aircrafts, weapons, and valuable equipment. Not even Tinseltown could make this up.

Staking his own safety, Egyptian filmmaker Ibrahim Nash’at was given permission to film the crew (Malawi Mansour, the newly assigned Air Force commander and his soldiers) as they audit, repair and start the process to build a high-ranking military career with the ultimate goal to to one day conquer the world.

Over the course of one year, the film exposes the transformation of a fundamentalist militia into a military regime and is a is a chilling portrait of the Taliban’s return to power and their worldview.
