Bertie needs to escape. Turning his back on the chaos of the world around him, he leaves his home for a derelict cottage in the woods. Here he waits with his wildly playful imagination…hoping love will arrive before the chaos catches up with him.
Inspired by the silent movie comedy giants like Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton, acclaimed gentleman juggler Tom Gaskin and celebrated international circus director Sean Kempton bring to life a funny and sometimes downright absurd story of fantasy, hope and love.
Kook Ensemble brings together a team of world class theatre makers to create original and playful stories. They delight in blending the very best of circus arts and theatre to charm, surprise and keep you guessing until the end!
Tom Gaskin Comedy Legacy Medal winner – Slapstick Festival
Sean Kempton Comedy director and performer for Cirque Du Soleil, comedy creator for Dragone, Underbelly and Vamos Theatre.
Produced by Kook Ensemble in association with Landmark Theatres.
