Aaron Schimberg’s multi-layered and impressive second feature challenges the treatment of disability on screen.

Simultaneously empathetic and darkly comic CHAINED FOR LIFE follows Mabel, a well-intentioned Hollywood star cast in a European horror movie directed by an egomaniacal German auteur. Mabel is cast opposite Rosenthal (played by Adam Pearson, UNDER THE SKIN), a gentle-natured young man with a severe facial deformity. As shooting progresses, Mabel gradually falls for HER friendly British co-star and questions are raised about the notion of beauty and representation.
