Rhys Matthewson

Rhys’ charm, self-deprecating humour, his wonderful story telling talents combined with his perfectly delivered one-liners have firmly established him as an internationally sought after comedian and writer.

At the 2010 New Zealand International Comedy Festival, Rhys was written into NZ comedy history when he was awarded the highly coveted Billy T Award with his show Rhyspect, making him the youngest ever recipient at only 19 years of age. TV appearances include Christmas Gala (TV2), AoteoroHA (TV3) and 7 Days (TV3), New Zealand’s equivalent to Mock The Week.
