Lumen printing creates soft, ethereal effects and a range of beautiful colours can be achieved using this technique. Using freshly cut flowers and foliage, workshop participants will be invited to create their own compositions onto paper and watch their images appear using daylight.
Using household materials such as vitamin c tablets and washing soda, participants will learn how to make their very own light sensitive chemistry. This can then be applied to light sensitive materials such as 35mm film to create unique prints.

Suitable for adults and children who are supervised. Using light sensitive darkroom paper with a developer made using ash and used coffee grounds, participants will be shown how to make the ‘mud’. We will then explore how this changes the paper by throwing the mud at it and applying it to foliage and making relief prints.
