Hard Cover Japanese Stab-bound Photo Album Workshop

ONE DAY WORKSHOP

Learn the ancient art of Japanese Stab Binding and make a beautiful hard cover A4 sized photo album.

In this workshop bookbinder Esther Williams will take you through how to make cloth covered board covers, how to create hinges (so the book can open easily), how to add ribbon ties and a simple method of Japanese Stab bookbinding. Different coloured cloth and thread will be available so you can make your album personal to you.

This workshop is suitable for beginners (you don’t need to have any bookbinding experience) and for anyone who’s attended a previous Japanese Stab binding workshop or done a little bookbinding before.

Esther Williams is a designer and bookbinder based in Somerset.
