Handmade Books: One Day Workshop

Learn how to make handmade books with bookbinder Megan Stallworthy. Megan makes lots of amazing book forms, some traditional and others more contemporary and playful. Today you will make and take home a Japanese book and a single-section case binding, and learn core bookbinding skills. All materials and equipment will be provided.

All attendees of this class get a 10% discount on hot drinks and Café Bar meals on the workshop day.

Professional Tutor

Megan Stallworthy

Megan trained as a bookbinder at the former Brighton Polytechnic. As well as running regular workshops at the Appledore Book Festival and the Plough Arts Centre in Great Torrington, she has taught bookbinding at Somerset College, Petroc and the Slade School of Fine Art, UCL, and is an associate lecturer in bookbinding at Falmouth University. She also makes books to commission and is a member of the Devon Guild of Craftsmen.
