This short course explores the use of fabric as a medium for making both two dimensional and sculptural artworks taking inspiration from Textile Art trailblazers from South America You will have the opportunity to develop your own project, with guidance from the tutor. We will be exploring techniques such as hand stitching, appliqué, printing and take inspiration from artists who create using textiles and reflect on their practice. Basic materials will be provided and we want to reuse existing fabrics rather than newly purchased so we encourage people to bring along their unwanted textiles to use and share remember we are creating small scale objects so you won’t need too much!
