Beginners Sewing

Sat 6 May – 10.30 – 1pm

This class is perfect for total beginners or for anyone wanting to refresh their sewing skills and will teach you how to use a sewing machine to make an envelope cushion.

You will need to bring a 50cm long piece of standard width fabric (137cm wide or more). The fabric needs to be non-embellished, non-silky, medium weight cotton or polycotton.

Professional Tutor

Lesley Strath is a professional seamstress with many years experience, making and designing bespoke wedding dresses. She has been working as a sewing tutor for Arrietty for the past 4 years.

Sewing Machines
