Director, Tim Meilants (Small Things Like These) and actor-producer Cillian Murphy collaborate again, in this adaptation of bestselling novella Shy.

Cillian Murphy plays Steve, a dedicated but troubled headteacher at a reform school for boys. Set within one frenetic day we follow Steve as he tries to protect the school, get through to self-destructive student all whilst hanging on by a thread himself.

With a powerful supporting cast, including Little Simz, who also wrote a track for this film, and Emily Watson this collage of a film paints a portrait of violence and fragility, in a 90s reform school where the boys, teachers and school itself are all at risk
