Creative Journaling is a wonderful way of gathering and exploring creative ideas through image and the written word. It can also be used as a way of overcoming creative challenges, or to investigate ideas.
This workshop stands as an introduction to ignite and fuel the imagination. It is suitable for all creative and would be creative, whether your leaning is towards the visual or written word and will also be an opportunity to meet and network with others.
We will go on a guided journey to meet and converse with our creative selves, responding through drawing, writing, collage paint and more. Participants will be given an A5 journal that will be used to document findings and ideas throughout the day, this journal will hopefully become the launch pad for projects, proposals and further exploration.
All materials are included in the cost of the workshop but we would ask you to bring along the following:
Places are limited and pre-booking is required. To learn about the Covid-19 safety measures we have put in place please read the following information about your visit to Exeter Phoenix >>
Henrietta studied Fine Art Printmaking at Glasgow School of Art in the late 1980’s and recently graduated with an MA in Painting from Plymouth College of Art. She has been painting and creating ever since, exhibiting in the West Country, Bristol, Scotland and London and in 2018 was included in in the Tate Exchange programme at Tate Modern.
Working primarily in oils her subject matter has shifted over recent years from atmospheric landscapes and still life to a more conceptual exploration of human connection. Creative journaling has always been an integral part of her practice. Henrietta has many years experience of supporting people of all ages in their creative process, and also teaches Hua-Qigong, an ancient Chinese practice of cultivating creative energy.
