Create your own animal motifs using basic carving techniques in cinder block, inspired by objects featuring in the exhibition. Half-day sessions with local stone sculptor Anne-Marie Moss. Booking advisable.
All tools (handsaws, surforms and files) and health and safety equipment (dust masks and goggles) will be provided.
Non-participating adults are advised to stay (for free) to assist any participating children who are too young to work independently with tools.
Part of a series of hands-on workshops and activities exploring the themes in Sean Lynchs current exhibition The Weight of The World.
Workshops are organised by Exeter Phoenix in partnership with Spacex and supported by the Henry Moore Foundation, Arts Council England, Exeter City Council and the Foyle Foundation.
