Beautiful and dramatic scenery of a remote Norway town, expertly shot by Vladimir Panduru (The President’s Cake), set the scene for this tense family drama.

Norwegian woman (Renate Reinsve) and her devout Romanian husband (Sebastian Stan) relocate their five children to a remote coastal town. As their teenagers grow closer to a neighbouring family, tensions begin to escalate when their tight knit new community starts to question their rigid beliefs. Soon, the parents are forced to counter accusations that could tear their household apart and battle a system that blurs the line between concern and prejudice.

Captivatingly led by Academy Award nominees Sebastian Stan (The Apprentice) and Renate Reinsve (The Worst Person in the World), Cristian Mungiu’s Palme d’Or winner FJORD delivers a gripping study of a family under scrutiny.
