During this Bookbinding Workshop you’ll be introduced to the basic tools and techniques of bookbinding. You will learn how to make a hardcover sketchbook notebook, which is then yours to keep and take home with you after the workshop. suitable for those who are new to bookbinding as well as those wishing to improve their skills.

Course Tutor: Sam Treadaway

Sam Treadaway (he/him) is a British artist living and working in South West England. Within his multimedia and interdisciplinary practice, which includes book-arts, he often makes use of existing frictions between aesthetic form and utilitarian function, to realign, edit and transform found materials, objects, structures and systems thus generating new meanings and outcomes. The interplay between the arts and other fields of knowledge (such as science, philosophy, perfumery, and music) often inform and inspire his practice.
