WILD WORKSHOPS FOR WOMEN

Dance theatre workshops celebrating our vibrant, powerful and wild selves.

Join Chhaya Collective to dance, express, sing, shout and find freedom in movement. 5 new workshop focusing on female representation and physical empowerment, connecting with our inner ‘wild’. We are keen to recruit a diverse and multicultural group of girls and women. Workshops are suitable for ages 16 to 106 and design for all abilities- no experience necessary. We have also teamed up with WOW Exeter and Mothers Who Make Exeter to run taster workshops.

The workshops accompany Chhaya’s new dance theatre performance KHAOS which previews at Exeter Phoenix on 20th November. KHAOS is visceral dance performance that rejects order in favour of complexity and chaos. Live musicians join six female contemporary dance artists to revel in the joy, tenderness and the power of being wild women. As part of the workshop there will be an option to take part in a short film which will travel on tour with the live show, and grow tracing stories from Wild women across the UK.

Wild Workshops are supported by Arts Council England, Exeter City Council, Exeter Phoenix and Dance in Devon.
