On the occasion of Easter, the Italian pianist Giacomo Dalla Libera will give a solo recital titled Water Melodies at the Mint Methodist Church.
The music programme will include both Romantic and Impressionist masterpieces. Two F. Mendelssohn’s Barcaroles will open the concert, followed by the Barcarole and the famous Prelude Raindrop by F. Chopin. The recital will continue with two F. Liszt’s works, The Lugubrious Gondola and The Fountains of the Villa dEste, which were inspired by his journeys across Italy. The concert will end with a broad space dedicated to C. Debussy, including the wonderful Reflections in the Water, The Sunken Cathedral, Gardens in the Rain and Isle of Joy, in an exciting final crescendo.
Giacomo Dalla Libera, born in 1979, received his Music Diploma with Honors from the Conservatory of Padua (Italy) in 1997. He joined the masterclasses of world renowned Maestros, like A. Ciccolini, K. Bogino, P.Badura-Skoda. Winner of several international competitions, he performs all around Italy and in many other countries (Switzerland, Austria, France, Spain and China).
