Palme d’Or winner Ducournau follows up her sensational breakout RAW with another highly anticipated and unforgettable feature exploring body horror.

Alexia (Agathe Rousselle) has a titanium plate in her head, the legacy of a childhood car crash. She makes a living as a dancer and is forced to take extreme retributive action against an abusive male fan. Disguised as a boy, she goes on the run, where she falls under the tender protection of fire chief Vincent (Vincent Lindon). Alexia’s transgressive desires, however, soon propel the narrative into the fantastical territory of body-horror. Wildly imaginative, and brimming with provocative and confrontational imagery, Titane manages to surpass the cannibalism of Raw, Julia Ducournau’s intense first feature, with its shocking and bizarre scenarios. A surprise winner of the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
