The Spork! Poetry Slam
The Spork! Poetry Slam is back.
10 poets will battle it out to become the new Spork! Slam Champion, with a £50 cash prize up for grabs (& a coveted Spork! Mug.) Plus a special headline set from the incredible Sam J Grudgings.
SLAM
The rules are simple: across 3 rounds of fierce but friendly competition, poets will woo and wow the audience with their words. Poems cannot exceed more than 3 minutes in length, and poets must prepare a total of 3 poems each. The winner will be decided by audience vote.

SAM
Sam J Grudgings is a queer Bristol-based artist and poet shortlisted for the Outspoken Poetry Prize 2020. His work explores rehabilitation, addiction & loss via the lens of horror. Commonly found yelling poems at punk shows, his new collection The Bible II is available from Verve Poetry Press.
