Vicky is an odd girl with a special gift: she can reproduce the scent of anyone she meets. Each scent created is kept in a bottle, diligently labelled by Vicky with a reference system only she understands. Outside of scent collecting and avoiding bullies, Vicky spends most of her time at a lake with her mother Joanne (a brilliant Adèle Exarchopoulos), a swim instructor trapped in a sexless marriage.

But when Vicky’s aunt Julia arrives out of the blue, everything changes. In recreating Julia’s smell, Vicky is catapulted into the past, where she unravels the secrets of her mother, aunt and the town at large.

A hit at the Cannes Film Festival, where it received a standing ovation, Léa Mysius’ visually stunning, queer witchy thriller is a beguiling treat.
