Sacred Earth
As you are aware, due to a close family bereavement Seckou Keita is unable to perform with Shannon Shannon this evening (Thu 9 May) at Exeter Phoenix.
After some consideration Exeter Phoenix have decided to reschedule the event to give you the opportunity to see this unique collaboration. Sharon Shannon and Sekou Keita will now be performing with us on Sun 8 Sep and so the concert this evening (Thu 9 May) will not be going ahead.
We apologise for any disappointment due to the postponement and very much hope that you will be able to attend the new date.
Legendary Irish accordion maestro Sharon Shannon brings a new live show on UK tour 2019. Joined by her band, Jim Murray acoustic guitar, Jack Maher electric guitar, vocals and Sean Regan, fiddle, percussion and beatbox, Sharon will perform music from her many albums throughout the years, including 2017s Sacred Earth.
Recorded at Real Worlds Studios and produced by Robert Plant producer, Justin Adams, Sacred Earth features many tracks with African influences and indeed African musicians as collaborators and guests.
Seckou Keita from Senegal playing Kora and percussion was one of the key collaborators. Now Seckou joins Sharon and her band, as a special guest on the Sacred Earth UK tour 2019.
