Exeter Phoenix’s Two Short Nights Film Festival is back for its 18th year with another exciting programme of screenings, talks and workshops that celebrate the vibrant world of short film. Whether you make film or love film, join us for must-see short films from across the globe, emerging local talent, and special events with industry professionals.

A collection of short films that walks up to the boundaries of our existence and explores what happens when we reach out to cross them.


THE CROSSING

Chris Shaw, 2018, UK, Animation, 5 mins

Tens of thousands of Tibetans have fled their country to escape persecution. The Crossing follows one such Tibetan as they attempt this dangerous trek and explores why they make this life-altering decision.


Holding Space

Rebecca Kenyon, 2018, UK, Documentary, 10mins

An intimate, observational documentary about preparing for death, told through the connection between a dying person and their end of life doula.


Who Are You?

Tanya Yakovlev, 2019, Israel, Drama, 7mins

When a daughter visits her sick mother, who suffers from memory loss, she finds herself reliving a childhood trauma.


Hymn Of Hate
