Exeter Phoenix’s 16th annual Two Short Nights Film Festival is back with a jam-packed programme of screenings and events celebrating the world of short film. Enjoy incredible animation, stunning cinematography and exceptional storytelling with screenings of must-see films from around the globe, alongside emerging local talent.

Screen To Screen: Design & Print Your Own Alternative Film Poster

We’re teaming up with fine art printmaking studio, Double Elephant, to offer this new creative course in film poster design and screen-printing.

This hands-on two day course will take place during the Two Short Nights Film Festival and is perfect for those interested in independent cinema, film memorabilia and alternative printing methods. You’ll cover all areas of film poster design, from the digital creation on Photoshop, right through to printing your posters on a studio press.

During the session you’ll be set a brief to design an alternative film poster for your favourite film; make a recent release look retro or bring a vintage classic up to date, the choice is yours! With a provided selection of coloured inks and high quality papers, you’ll screen print your idea. Take home your poster in A4 format (or similar) ready to frame and hang on your wall.

This course is limited to only 6 places and is expected to be popular at the current discount rate so early booking is highly recommended.
