Pitch Perfect

Creating a pitch for film funding

How can you give your film the best shot at getting funded? There’s no ‘one size fit’s all solution’, but in this workshop Luke Hagan will take a look at what goes in to creating a pitch for film funding; the considerations, the pitfalls and the steps you can take to best position yourself and your project to get picked up.

About Luke

Luke is the Digital Programme Coordinator at Exeter Phoenix, and has been working in film since 2008. As well as running film projects, training, and filmmaker development he is also part of the team responsible for delivering and overseeing the annual Exeter Phoenix short film commission scheme, as well as being a former recipient of a commission, giving him experience in both sides of the funding process.

About the workshops

This series of workshops are open to all regardless of experience and free to attend. Whether you’ve never been involved in any kind of filmmaking or a seasoned professional, everyone is welcome. Session will cover a variety of topics with the aim to share, teach and to encourage new and existing filmmakers. The local filmmakers have a wealth of knowledge and experience that we are hoping to share for the benefit of everyone in the community.

Please join us and have a chance to meet and network with other filmmakers in the area.

If you have any questions or would like to get in touch, please come and find us in the community Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/156531547703399/
