Set in the French capital’s 13th arrondissement, where a predominantly East Asian community resides, Audiard’s passionate romance charts the interwoven relationships between twenty-somethings Émilie, Camille, Nora (played by Noémie Merlant, Portrait of a Lady on Fire) and Amber, as they navigate modern love and life and reflect the shifting attitudes towards identity and fidelity. Three girls and a boy – They’re friends, sometimes lovers and often both.

Shot in striking mono-chrome Paris, 13th District, is sexy, youthful and shows a local’s perspective of Parsi, far removed from the Eiffel Tour and Champs-Élyssées.
