EASTER THEATRE 4-DAY WEEK FOR IMAGINATIVE 7 – 11 YEAR OLDS

Imaginative young people aged 7 to 11 are invited to create a stage play with award winning PaddleBoat Theatre Company during the Easter holiday.

The inventive Exeter-based company, which is known for its distinctive and playful approach to theatre, will guide youngsters through a week of storytelling, puppetry, music, design, acting and devising.

This 4 day theatre week offers children the chance to have fun creating with other children and professional artists to put together a piece of original drama and perform at the Exeter Phoenix.

The 4 day week will focus on Treasure Island – a pirate adventure story. A long lost map promises to take you to buried treasure but buccaneers and mutiny get in your way! 

At the end of the week, friends and family will be welcomed to the Exeter Phoenix to watch the children perform their own version of Treasure Island!

Katy Dash, Artistic Director of PaddleBoat, said: ‘Whether you have loads of experience performing or you want to try drama for the first time, this week will be such a lot of fun.”

The course is for children aged 7-11 years old on course start date – no previous theatre experience required.

Rehearsals and the performance will take place in the Exeter Phoenix studios. PaddleBoat will be at the Exeter Phoenix entrance to meet and greet children and parents/guardians. Children must be signed in when they are dropped off and signed out when they are picked up.

TIMES

10am – 4pm Mon, Tue, Wed
10am – 3.30pm with a performance at 3pm
