Celebrating 10 years of Bare Safe events.

Celebrating over 10 years doing festival style nights in Exeter! It’s been over 2 years since our last event at the Phoenix back in November 2019. We were due to celebrate our 10th Birthday in 2021 but this kind of event just wasn’t possible then. Super happy to announce we have the mighty NUBIYAN TWIST performing!

These guys are festival headliners in their own right and have gone from strength to strength recently with their latest album Freedom Fables. Four Radio 6 A list singles and a performance on Jools Holland live on TV have cemented the band as a key player in the UK Jazz scene. Expect a powerful horn section, ultra-tight musicianship and heavy afro-jazz grooves as the band bring their incendiary show to the Phoenix.

We have a 10 piece Afrobeat, Breakbeat, Jungle, Jazz and Highlife band up next. Their music celebrates the coming together of cultures, and the unity that music can provide for everyone. Driven by drummer Tim Cook, their live shows are powerful and dynamic, exploring grooves and genres from the UK and around the world. Stand out performances at Shambino and We Out Here festivals last summer.

Frank Von is a live hiphop fusion artist and Emcee from KOG & The Zongo Brigade.
