4pm: Screening of Nostalgia (12A) (Martone, 2022). Naples seen with the eyes of reminiscence and hope.

Intro: Dr. Alessia Risi, Lecturer in Italian and Film at the University of Exeter, and Valentina Todino from the Italian Cultural Association Exeter

7pm: Pasta e Fagioli!  With special gusts Luisa, from Pesto – A Taste of Italy. Prebook a delicious dish of Pasta e Fagioli + special accompaniment for a post-screening meal!

Serving starts at 7pm – £12 (including film ticket)

NB:We cannot cater for specific dietary requirements but the main dish will be vegan. Accompaniments may not.


Nostalgia (12A)

After forty years spent between Lebanon and Egypt, the entrepreneur Felice Lasco (Pierfrancesco Favino) returns to his hometown, Naples. Here he meets Don Luigi, a priest who fights the Camorra and tries to give a better future to the young people of the town. Felice suffers an identity crisis as he tries to reconnect with his language and culture, he soon finds himself unintentionally ruffling the feathers of a local crime boss.
