Live music helps fund free festive support for Devon families

Health Opportunities Devon is teaming up with health and wellbeing partners across Devon to put on a unique festive event.

Mind Over Mayhem at Christmas is intended to combat the winter blues with a full schedule of free festive daytime events – and an evening of live music.

The idea is the brainchild of Andy Stapley, Director of the Exeter-based community interest company, who saw an opportunity to help hard-working families in the run up to Christmas.

They are combining a family-friendly wellbeing day with a rip-roaring evening concert with punk legend TV Smith (The Adverts), 70s chart topper Tom Robinson and local festival favourites Sound of Sirens.

Tickets for the live music cost £25  and are available from the Exeter Phoenix booking office. The live music will be starting at 7.30pm.

Proceeds of the concert will subsidise costs to provide children with free presents and a Santa’s Grotto together with health and wellbeing services that aim to help families ahead of the busy Christmas period.

This includes taster sessions for wellbeing services, such crafts and activities, films, dance and much more.
