Making Art After Making Life

A workshop for new(ish) parents to reignite the creative fire

MatriArt at Exeter Phoenix in collaboration with The Daylight Collective.

Making Art After Making Life: A workshop for new(ish) parents to reignite the creative fire.

Working in the arts can be gruelling, exhausting and thankless. So can being a parent. Trying to do both without support can feel impossible, so we started MatriArt.

This is a facilitated, supportive, empowering workshop to reignite the creative fire. A space to laugh, cry, dream, galvanise, and to give and get accountability.

Play: Facilitated creative exercises to re-open those creative channels.

Share: Discuss & troubleshoot upcoming projects.

Connect: Meet other brilliant, inspiring local mamas working in the creative industries, and build your village.

BYO baby or leave them at home, this is a space for you. We have toys, changing facilities, a buggy park and extra pairs of hands if you need to use yours.

Led by writer and performer of Madonna On The Rocks, Marie Hamilton.
