TWO SHORT NIGHTS X KURDISH SCREEN

A SELECTION OF SHORTS

Two Short Nights has collaborated with Kurdish screen to present a selection of short films curated in partnership with London Kurdish Film Festival.

Harman

Mohammad Farajzadeh, 2020, Iran, 30 minutes

The documentary of Heh Raman narrates the philosophy of Kurdish dance and its traditional dress. All of the movements in Kurdish dance pursue the goals, such as stamping means this is my land and country, being man and woman side by side in Kurdish dance means men and women are equal, and joining of the hands in Kurdish dance means unity. All Kurdish plimsolls, napkins, and dresses have their own meaning. Kurdish dance is one of Kurdistan’s traditions and cultural heritage, performed in different ceremonies and this documentary analyses them from different points.

The Other

Saman Hosseinpuor, 2020, 24 minutes

Beru

Nazmi Karaman, 2020, 11 mins
