Having announced that 2027 will be her final year of touring, Kiki Dee and Carmelo Luggeri bring their spellbounding live acoustic show to Exeter for the very last time.
For nearly 30 years, Kiki & Carmelo have been entertaining audiences at venues across the globe, from London’s Royal Albert Hall and Eventim Apollo to major European festivals. Expect Kiki’s trademark powerful soulful vocals alongside Carmelo’s phenomenal acoustic guitar artistry, as they perform all the chart hits including I’ve Got the Music in Me, Amourouse, Star, True Love and the unforgettable chart-topping hit, Don’t Go Breaking My Heart with Elton John. Their show will also include classic by other artists from their era including Kate Bush, Joni Mitchell, Marvin Gaye and CSNY.
Kiki Dee signed her first record contract with Fontana at only 16 years old, before becoming the first UK artist to be signed by Tamla Motown. She then achieved even greater success with Elton’s Rocket records. Also an accomplished actor, she has appeared in Blood Brothers in the West End and on Broadway, and numerous TV credits including appearances on Morecambe & Wise, The Two Ronnies and The Benny Hill Show, amongst countless others. She has also shared the stage with Dusty Springfield, Carole King, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes and, of course, Elton John.
Never one to rest on her laurels, she joined forces with virtuoso guitarist Carmelo Luggeri, who has worked with such luminaries as Andy Williams, Ralph McTell, Chris Rea, Paul Rodgers and Julian Lennon. The 30-year partnership of spellbinding acoustic stripped back shows is fashioned to allow both of their exceptional talents to shine through. Kiki Dee has cemented her status as one of the UK’s finest and most revered artists, always moving forward with the music she creates with Carmelo who is also her musical director and producer. Their last appearance at this venue was a complete sellout with a waiting list for tickets, resulting in an ecstatic audience reluctant to let them leave the stage at the end.
Don’t miss this final chance to catch this truly legendary performance!
