This 2 day course will offer an in-depth introduction to Adobe Illustrator and prepare you with an understanding of how to use the programme to benefit your work.
The workshop will teach you to:

• Navigate your way around the programme.
• Import images and introduce you to the tools and commands to get your projects started.
• You will learn how to modify, manipulate and scale images.
• Manage layers, amend modes and adjust to incorporate backgrounds.
• You will discover how to use text, colour control, drawing, shapes and brushes as well as how to use different styles for various audiences.

Individual needs will be catered for where possible. All courses are taught on Apple Mac computers and skills learnt are transferable to PC.

Course Tutor: Paul Smith

Paul Smith is an Adobe Community Expert, graphic designer and Illustrator educator based in Exeter, UK. For more than 25 years he’s helped businesses create distinctive brand identities while sharing his love of Adobe Illustrator through workshops, private tuition and community events.

As a former Head Lecturer at SAE Rotterdam and a regular tutor at Exeter Phoenix, Paul believes the best way to learn is by making, experimenting and asking questions. He contributes to Adobe as a Community Expert and is also involved in testing upcoming features through Adobe’s pre-release programme.

Whether he’s designing a brand or teaching a classroom full of beginners, his enthusiasm for Illustrator remains as strong today as it was over twenty five years ago.
