Exeter Phoenix are partnering with Educational Organisation Into Film to deliver a consultation workshop for 16 19 years olds. This two-hour session will help us understand what our venue can do to make our spaces and our activity better for young people. With a particular focus on cinema we would like to open up a conversation and give young people the chance to tell us what they would like to see, how they want to see it and the way the wish to know about it.
We are looking for participants from across Devon aged between 16 19. No previous experience is necessary, just a love of film and an interest in learning about cinema! It will be informal and interactive and puts the power in the hands of the attendees who will be encouraged to share ideas, experiences and gripes of being young movie-goer. Attendees will also have the chance to learn about running a cinema, hosting film events and how to market them.
This workshop will feed in to future plans, which hopes to enable Exeter Phoenix and Into Film to work towards a new project for young people.
It is completely free to attend, but booking is required which you can do via our form below. Drinks and snacks will be on offer during the workshop.
