INTO FILM: Two Short Nights Young Promoters

Exeter Phoenix are partnering with Educational Organisation Into Film to deliver two exciting workshops for 16 – 19 years olds.

Over the course of two two-hour sessions you’ll help to develop and deliver a promotional campaign to attract young people to the Southwest Showcase Screening at Two Short Nights Film Festival 2019. You’ll be looking at different promotion techniques and strategies, from social media to ‘street’ marketing, and coming up with exciting ways to engage with an audience before putting those ideas into action to try and sell out the screening!

We are looking for participants from across Devon aged between 16 – 19. No previous experience is necessary, just a love of film and an interest in learning about festivals and event promotion!  It will be informal and interactive and puts the power in the hands of the attendees who will be encouraged to share their experiences and ideas, and to get stuck in with making those ideas a reality.

This opportunity is spread over two two-hour sessions, and you will need to able to attend both of them. It is completely free to attend, but booking is required which you can do via our form below. Drinks and snacks will be on offer during the workshop.

Session Times

• Thu 7 Nov: 4.30pm – 6.30pm (In Studio 74 at Exeter Phoenix)
• Thu 14 Nov: 4.30pm – 6.30pm (In The Workshop at Exeter Phoenix)

All participants are also invited to a screening of The Peanut Butter Falcon which starts right after the session on Thu 14 Nov.

Into Film are a UK-wide programme designed to support teachers and educators to achieve a wide range of effective learning outcomes in their use of film. Their programme includes a network of extra-curricular film clubs, resources for use in clubs and in the classroom, training opportunities, a cinema-based film festival and our annual Awards.
